Performing Arts & Residence
Östangård Performing Arts & Residence is an international place for contemporary art and culture with artistic residences, workshops and public programs, a meeting place in performing arts, music and writing that inspires both a local and national audience as well as professional actors at a high level.
With accommodation and premises for artistic production and public programs, Östangård is a place for the issues of our time in a cultural-historical environment. Here, Swedish and international artists can live near sea and nature to work undisturbed and share new processes, works and thoughts with other artists and a local audience.
The ambition is to create cross-disciplinary meetings and processes between different artistic disciplines based on Nadja Weiss and Philippe Boix-Vive’s own artistic work. Therefore, Östangård above all wants to invite artists who work interdisciplinary and cross-border in performing arts, music, film and writing.
Östangård plans to invite artists during spring and autumn for three-week stays that provide time and space for their own investigation.
